The majority of people that get to my weblog get here though Google searches for nekkid wymmyns or pr0n: Veronique De Kock, naked Olsen Twins, naked gymnasts, passwords for boygirlbang or mike’s apartment, etc.
I think I can safely guess the reason why I get so many hits: it’s a case of the one eyed man being king in the land of the blind.
- This is a weblog. Google loves weblogs.
- This is a Salon weblog, so it benefits from salon.com’s high PageRank
- I get loads of hits from Google.be and Google.nl — Google defaults to the user locale for searches.
- This site is predominantly Dutch (well, Flemish), which makes it rank higher on those localized Googles
- I’ve been known to mention the odd naked person. I’m guessing there’s less pages in Dutch that mention boygirlbang and naked olsen twins than there are pages in English.
Now I’m perfectly happy to have more hits than Pornographer’s Picks, which hasn’t been updated in months, but I don’t see why I should have a higher ranking than all those other, vastly more interesting weblogs: Radio Free Blogistan, Julie/Julia, Real Live Preacher, Miguel and Rene — to mention but a few.
