   “finir en queue de poisson”, which roughly translated means “to end like the tail of a fish”, that is, in a surprising, ironic and abrupt manner, often not giving much satisfaction or closure.

   Aha! Google rules 🙂 Didn’t know fish tails are so surprising, nor did I know they are ironic! You live, you learn…
