As she grew into young adulthood in the 1920s, she ‘went looking for love in all the wrong places.’ Between 1924 and 1929 she had 4 illegitimate children, all by different fathers. Also, during this same period, she was married to a man with whom she had no children, but he turned out to be a bigamist. Of the 4 children born during this period, the father of the second child is known, and recorded. The other three are unknown, but known to be different individuals.
