Wholly Genes’ track record is that if a bug is found that threatens to
modify data, a fix comes out very quickly (by any software publisher’s
standard and consistent with the common meaning of “quickly”). Otherwise,
progress tends to range from languorous to glacial. My reading of the
blizzard of messages is that of those that report problems that are
actually “buggish”, 95% relate to the same half dozen or so issues. And
none of those are damaging to data, that I have read.
Version 5.05 is still missing crucial output forms, though. But that is not
what is under discussion.
