Ik weet dat ik een duidelijk onderscheid moet maken tussen de schrijver-persoon en het boek van de schrijver. Met Orson Scott Card kan ik dat zonder problemen doen: het is niet omdat hij een rechtse zak is, dat ik zijn boeken daarom beter of slechter vind. Omdat hij nu eenmaal een zeer goeie schrijver is.
Maar jongens toch… J bloody K Rowling in Time:

It wasn’t until after Sorcerer’s Stone was published that it even occurred to her that she had written one. “That’s the honest truth,” she says. “You know, the unicorns were in there.
