I’d like to propose a new, optional HTML tag:

IMG

Required argument is SRC=”url”.

This names a bitmap or pixmap file for the browser to attempt to pull
over the network and interpret as an image, to be embedded in the text
at the point of the tag’s occurrence.

An example is:

<IMG SRC=”file://foobar.com/foo/bar/blargh.xbm“>

(There is no closing tag; this is just a standalone tag.)

This tag can be embedded in an anchor like anything else; when that
happens, it becomes an icon that’s sensitive to activation just like a
regular text anchor.

NCSA Mosaic was first released ten years ago today (oh, I guess you could mark time from the 1.0 release, but who’s counting), marking the first milestone in the evolution of the graphical World Wide Web. HTTP was originally developed between 1989-1991, but didn’t take off until there was a useful browser which could display inline images. SLIME

If ever there was a toy they shoul bring back for nostalgia’s sake that would sell like hotcakes (and you know how good hotcakes sell), it would be Mattel’s Slime.  The original came in a green trash can and was a glob of salty smelling Hulk Spooge that would drip all the way down your arm if you’d hold it in the air.  Later, they came out with varieties like Slime With Worms, and Slime Eyeballs!  There’s Nickelodeon endorsed versions of slime called GACK! SPLAT! and JIZZ!, but Mattel’s was the best.

Nina De Man is een ambetant mens. Ze kan met niet veel dingen lachen.

Competent, zou ik zeggen, maar niet uiteenspattend goed. Stuk-ken beter dan Stephanie en Tabitha, maar ze kan echt wel beter. De jury van blijkbaar van niet, maar bon.

Wim doet Drops of Jupiter, en hij doe dat eigenlijk niet zo slecht. Niet voor de hand liggend, maar zeer goed.

Tot nog toe zal het voor mijn geld die eerste zijn die er uit vliegt, Stephanie. Of het zou Tabitha zijn, die nu aan de beurt is. Want die doet het niet echt goed. Da’s nu al zeker de derde keer dat ze Mariah Carey zingt denk ik. En niet goed, bah. En ze ziet eruit alsof ze zwanger is, niet mooi aangekleed en alles ook. Jean Blaute vindt het wel goed, maar ik niet.
