Ik kijk redelijk uit naar de verbouwing van ons achterhuis. Of beter: dat het gedaan zal zijn. Want ik kijk niet uit naar de verbouwing zelf, en zeker niet naar de lening en dingen.

Allez kijk, Nice Guy Eddie heeft een weblog. En ik wist daar natuurlijk niets van. Een fijn collega en een nog fijner mens, maar ik ben er benauwd van. Eum, geïntimideerd is meer het woord. He’s everything I ever wanted to be, jazeker.

Ik zou graag eens een hele maand alleen willen doorbrengen. Helemaal alleen. Gelijk toen ik op de universiteit zat. En dat ik niets moest doen. Ik zou wel regelmatig, bijvoorbeeld elke dag, een paar uur bij Sandra en de kinderen zijn, daar niet van, maar ik zou zo graag nog eens dag na dag na dag kunnen uitslapen, in mijne peignoir voor tv in de zetel liggen, een beetje schrijven en op de computer prutsen en heel veel lezen, en alleen maar de deur uitgaan over en weer naar de Spar om rijst en aardbeienyoghurt. En geen kinderen. Geen werk. Geen klanten. Geen collega’s. Geen leningen. Geen miserie. Geen verplichtingen. Crap, ik ben het allemaal zo beu.

Het is bijna vakantie, daar hou ik mij nu wel zo’n beetje aan vast.

Eum… wacht, we zijn nu de zesde maand, juist? En vakantie is pas in de zevende maand, bah!

Here’s something I often do. I put a thumbnail of an image in a weblog entry and link to the larger version from the thumbnail, like so:

This is the amount of spam I get on an average Tuesday on my ten year old e-mail account.

Items marked in yellow are not spam. All the rest is. And that’s after the spam filter had its say.

How cool would it be if there were a function to automatically post an image-cum-thumbnail? All the functions to do so are present in TypePad: upload file even has the option to generate a post; all that’s needed from there is to add the resize function as present in the photo albums.

Ideally I’d like an “insert image” button with an option to “create thumbnail and link to full image”.
